Donate Furniture

First Response Pack and Purge has developed a relationship with community organizations which provide relief to families in need; particularly mothers and children who have survived domestic violence or experience other hardships and are starting over.  Although freedom alone is priceless, the cost of furniture is a great burden to those with a very limited, or no budget.  We have partnered with others who have a great desire to see those in need thrive and keep good furniture going to those who truly need it vs. the landfill where it will serve no purpose.  We're also committed to keeping furniture and other items intended for donation out of the hands of individuals who don't have a need or whose intention is to sell them for profit.

Although we operate on a volunteer basis, we do incur costs in order to pick up and in turn, donate your furniture.  In order to continue providing pickup services we must charge a minimum to cover the costs associated with truck rental, fuel, mileage/time, moving equipment/supplies/safety & hauling materials, storage, insurance etc.  There is typically a 1–3-week turnaround time from when items are picked up to when they are dispersed to the home they will be united with their new family in need.  The pickup fee varies based upon the volume of items you have and the actual cost it will take for our teams to cover these costs. 

Consider this: On average, the wait time for many donation centers to pick up furniture can be 6-10 weeks; and the cost to fill a dumpster to have a junk removal crew pick up furniture simply because you've run out of time costs between $600-$1,000 and serves no purpose.  Also, many donation centers are unable to take more than a few pieces of furniture at a time or may only be accepting single room-types (EX - "Only accepting living room", or "only bedroom furniture at the moment") based upon their "inventory".
